  • Downtown's former Scottish Rite venue is getting renovations led by local businessman Chuck Surack, with full-speed work starting in January and an expected 2028 reopening. The cost has risen from $30 million to about $40-50 million, as the project updates seating, sound, and lighting systems (while preserving the historic facade).  The Journal Gazette
