  • Community members gathered at Oak Grove Cemetery (a local site) on Saturday for a Wreaths Across America ceremony honoring fallen veterans with rifle volleys, taps and a color guard. More than 4,200 locations will display 3 million fir wreaths on National Wreaths Across America Day (honoring veteran sacrifice) nationwide.  21Alive
  • Public Service Credit Union held its Project Giveback event yesterday at its Fort Wayne and Huntington locations from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., offering holiday treats and a visit from Santa & Mrs. Claus as community members shared their Christmas wishes to help start a local tradition.  21Alive

  • Farmer Denise Scarborough from LaPorte County has been re-elected as chair of the Indiana Soybean Alliance to boost local and global soybean value. The board also re-elected Brian Warpup as vice chair and added new members, including directors from Wanatah, Huntingburg and Seymour, who will serve through 2026.  US 93.3

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Starting this spring, Purdue Fort Wayne will let new admittees pick a sports management major or a sports leadership major for fall 2026, with the first based in the business school+ the second aimed at coaching and operations; current students must meet with advisors to change their programs.  Around Fort Wayne
