- ➤ The Indiana Chamber's Coolest Thing Made IN Indiana tournament narrowed its field from 32 to 16 as the third voting round runs from Dec. 11 — Dec. 16 online, featuring contenders from 13 cities including two each from Fort Wayne, Elkhart and Indianapolis competing for a quarterfinals spot. - ➤ Google announced its Fort Wayne data center is now operational ahead of today's public forum at the Grand Wayne Center, where officials and company representatives will answer community questions. - ➤ Indiana high school seniors and college students can apply for the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship, which provides $10K per year for up to four years for those pledging to teach in the state. - ➤ Mayor Sharon Tucker honored 122 city employees for 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of service in a ceremony that recognized workers from City Utilities (Community Development, Fire, Parks and Recreation, Police and Public Works) for their commitment to Fort Wayne. WFFT-TV
- ➤ Allen County Council will meet with residents next week at Memorial Coliseum to discuss the possibility of a casino in the area — the meeting is solely to gather public input with no formal action planned. The Journal Gazette
- ➤ INDOT crews pretreated roads overnight Wednesday after rainfall and snowmelt left some untreated spots slick, and additional snowfall is expected through the weekend. Motorists were reminded to slow down and give extra space behind plow trucks (watch dash camera updates) to stay safe. WFFT-TV
