- ➤ OmniSource returns its free electronic recycling event today through December 15 at 219 Murray St — donations are collected for Shephers House and the Humane Fort Wayne Pet Food Pantry as standard recycling fees are waived and non-perishable food and pet supplies are accepted. WOWO
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Downtown Fort Wayne welcomes the 40th annual Festival of Gingerbread, which features a record 183 gingerbread creations that beat last year’s count by 33. The event runs at the History Center until December 21—open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours on weekends and from 12 until 5 p.m. on Sundays. WOWO
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ A Purdue University Fort Wayne master’s degree program earned national accreditation from the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology & Speech-Language Pathology, the only such honor in northeast Indiana, which means graduates can apply for the top national credential and gain access to federal funding.
