  • A Fort Wayne Air Force veteran received a new roof for his home on Nov20—a project that has helped his family stay safe and avoid costly repairs.  WFFT-TV
  • Prairie Farms is set to bring back its eggnog tradition during the 21st season of Christmas on Broadway at Broadway Plaza — an event that will include a parade, fireworks and tree lighting. General Manager Rob Ruppert said he will hand out free single-serve eggnog and launch a contest to win a KitchenAid stand mixer.  21Alive
  • The Fort Wayne Zoo welcomed a new harbor seal named Bubba who came from Woods Hole Science Aquarium and first appeared at the Coastal Cove habitat on November 11, 2025. Visitors will see Bubba this weekend (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) along with other marine animals during the zoo's final Fall Weekend.  WFFT-TV
  • Runners and walkers preparing for the Galloping Gobbler 5K can pick up race packets early at HuMane Fort Wayne on Monday from 4 to 6 p.m.—participants will visit the shelter to meet adoptable pets before the race starts on Nov. 28 at 8:30 a.m. at Leesburg Road and Lansing Street.  WOWO
  • Nearly 50 children were adopted on Thursday by 33 local families at the Allen County Courthouse during its 18th annual National Adoption Day celebration—where the ‘Sweet Beginnings’ theme featured Candy Land-inspired decorations and a board game gifted to each new family.  WFFT-TV

  • Indiana Farm Bureau’s survey shows serving a Thanksgiving meal in Indiana will cost $53.62 for ten people, a small increase of six-tenths percent from last year. A 16-pound turkey will cost just over $21 while the national average meal costs $55.18.  US 93.3

EDUCATION NEWS

  • A bus driver with Southwest Allen County Schools learned his brother had fallen ill in Africa and the district transportation department surprised him—covering his missed pay and travel expenses. He planned to use the support for his December trip following World Kindness Day on November 13.  WANE 15

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Citilink announced the return of its Holiday Shuttle and Free Fare Saturdays for the holiday season — offering free rides on all fixed routes on Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13, and Dec. 20 while an express shuttle to Northcrest Shopping Center and Glenbrook Square Mall will run on Nov. 28 and 29, Dec. 5 and 6, Dec. 12 and 13, and Dec. 19 and 20.  21Alive

HEALTH NEWS

  • On Wednesday, the State Board of Animal Health confirmed six new bird flu cases in LaGrange County, bringing detections to 11 cases in flocks totaling over 107,000 birds. The affected flocks have been quarantined— a 10km control area and a 20km surveillance zone are in place in parts of Elkhart, LaGrange and Noble counties— and officials monitor the situation closely.  21Alive
