  • Holiday lights returned to Parkview Field, offering a festive display for local visitors— the annual event is set to run through the holiday season.  The Journal Gazette
  • Southwest Allen County Schools supported bus driver Akimu of Bus #55 on World Kindness Day when he learned his brother in Africa was sick. The district collected money to cover his missed pay and travel costs for his December trip home — showing care for one another.  21Alive

CULTURE NEWS

  • Fantasy of Lights in Franke Park is partnering with the zoo this season to offer a drive-through light show where visitors can stop and walk among the lights — Just Bicycle Night is held today, the main show opens on November 17, and Wild Lights starts on November 28. Tickets for each show will be sold separately and include access to the Christmas Village.  WANE 15

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • An Adams County rescue has raised concerns over a proposed commercial kennel that the Schwartz applicants plan to build only 300 feet from seven homes, housing 15 female and five male dogs. The Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 6 p.m. on November 20th—followed by a commissioner’s public hearing at 7 p.m.—with rescue director Katie Wilson warning that altering current breeding regulations could reduce needed oversight.  WANE 15

HEALTH NEWS

  • Christian leaders led by Aaron and Janell Lane will host the Jesus and Therapy Conference at Parkview Mirro Center on November 22 at 9:00 a.m. Six speakers will share ideas on how faith and therapy can work together — giving attendees new tools to fight mental health stigma.  WANE 15
