- ➤ Fort Wayne veteran Edwin Chow—owner of Summit City Climbing Company and The Berry—uses his businesses to host fundraisers and supply drives for local charities. He said his mission is to empower locals and he plans to expand community events next year. WANE 15
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ State Police said they responded to more than 130 crashes in the 20 hours after snow fell on Sunday—unsafe driving like speeding, tailgating, and risky lane changes were the main causes. - ➤ 98-year-old WWII veteran Donald Buddy Clemente shared his service story at the National WWII Museum in New Orleans where staff welcomed him warmly. He recalled guarding a submarine base in the Philippines and said that fighting continued even after the war was said to be over so his great-grandsons could learn from his experience. - ➤ On Monday, the Fort Wayne Community Schools board approved a 2% raise for non-teaching staff including bus drivers, nurses and groundskeepers for the 2025-26 fiscal year. The board also awarded contracts worth $1.8 million to improve facilities—supporting projects at Blackhawk Middle, Northcrest and Holland elementary schools—using funds from a referendum and bond.
