- ➤ Glick Philanthropies donated $7,500 to Community Harvest Food Bank to purchase 30,000 meals for families in northeast Indiana as SNAP benefits are set to expire soon. - ➤ A creative space in Fort Wayne called The Garden is hosting its 2025 Holiday Market this weekend at 3308 North Anthony Boulevard for a boutique shopping experience with Indiana artisans. The event will include live music, festive food & drinks, and family activities on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 21Alive
- ➤ Blessings in a Backpack launched its annual Turkey Totes program to help ensure Fort Wayne Community Schools students have food for Thanksgiving weekend—providing bags filled with food. The program will benefit many students facing food insecurity—over 70% of them. 21Alive

- ➤ JOURNEY announced its farewell tour that will include a Fort Wayne show on June 18 at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum as part of the Final Frontier Tour. Tickets will go on sale on November 14. 21Alive

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The East Allen County Schools board approved $4.2 million in alternate bids to add parking lots, upgraded gym bleachers and other facility improvements to four projects, including a new fieldhouse at Leo Junior-Senior High School and renovations for Paul Harding Junior High. The projects, which cost about $157 million overall, will proceed within the district's budget—addressing critical needs across its campuses. The Journal Gazette
- ➤ Indiana College Core gave high school students a chance to earn up to 30 transferable college credit hours by completing courses in six required areas on November 6, which helps them save time and money on college costs. Lawmakers mandated that all state high schools offer the program by the 2026-2027 school year + many schools are already preparing to meet that requirement. WOWO

- ➤ Fort Wayne City Utilities announced the completion of an 18-year Long-Term Control Plan at Promenade Park on Wednesday to protect our rivers and strengthen neighborhoods. The plan — which reduces basement backups and improves clean water — is one of the largest public-infrastructure commitments in the city’s history. US 93.3
- ➤ On November 6, Fort Wayne announced the opioid settlement funding recipients — the city stated that the awards will support programs to address the opioid crisis and further details will be shared soon. 21Alive
- ➤ On Thursday, Allen County officials and community members celebrated the reopening of Arcola Road with a ribbon-cutting ceremony plus the project included tearing out and reengineering the road and updating stormwater systems to reduce flood risk. 21Alive
