  • YLNI Farmers Market announced it will move to a new winter location to serve local customers fresh produce during the colder months (exact details on the site were not released).  21Alive
  • Crews began installing 1.5 million lights at Parkview Field—a 50 percent increase from last year—to set up the holiday lights display that will debut in 17 days, featuring fresh displays, music, train rides, and visits from Johnny Claus.  US 93.3

  • Allen County Public Library announced on October 27th that it received a $35,000 grant from Google to upgrade the immersive projection experience at the Rolland Center for Lincoln Research—enhancing technology to offer custom exhibits for educators and visitors.   • Homeowners in the Northwest Allen County School District have seven days to vote on a referendum that would raise taxes to fund extra safety officers, a trade school, and higher teacher salaries. District officials say the funding gap is $8 million below the state average and note that a $350,000 home would see taxes rise $131.86—officials stress the measure is needed—while some residents believe extra funds should come from the state.  21Alive

  • Eco Fest and a local homeowner invite residents to join a free tour of a Foster Park yard transformed with eco-friendly elements such as native plants, dead hedges and wildlife ponds.
