- ➤ Downtown Fort Wayne is hosting Fright Night today at The Fort with a Zombie Walk, while Mad Science Day is held at Science Centra and Animal Care and Control offers its Howl-O-Walkoween at Promenade Park — letting residents join in the spooky celebrations in full costume. - ➤ The Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site was recognized as part of the Old-Growth Forest Network on Saturday — the ceremony celebrated the site's 148 acres of preserved woods, prairies, and lakeshore. Guests then enjoyed a one-mile guided hike to explore the historic grounds. 21Alive

- ➤ A one-mile part of State Road 114 was renamed as the Capt. Matthew Tomkiewicz Memorial Mile to honor the Fort Wayne Marine who died in a March 2022 MV-22B Osprey crash — State Senator Justin Busch and community members held a renaming ceremony on Friday. WOWO
- ➤ The Allen County Human Resources Department will host a career fair on October 23 at Memorial Coliseum from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.—more than 30 departments will offer job opportunities and applicants must complete their applications online—free parking is provided. WFFT-TV
- ➤ On Saturday, protestors gathered at the Allen County Courthouse for Fort Wayne’s second 'No Kings' protest — part of over 50 demonstrations in Indiana and more than 2,500 across the country — to oppose what organizers called hateful authoritarian actions. The event, held from 2 to 5 p.m., also collected soap and donations for Inasmuch Ministry while local political leaders issued contrasting responses. 21Alive
