  • Fort Wayne Running Club hosted its 19th annual Run for Riley on Sunday when community members ran or walked a 5K or 5-mile course on the northwest side to raise funds for Riley Hospital for Children. The event raised $500,000—bringing the cumulative total to $525,000—and showed strong local support.  21Alive
  • Fort Wayne Metro Firefighters IAFF Local 124 held its annual Memorial Remembrance Ceremony on Saturday at the Fort Wayne-Allen County Police and Fire Memorial to honor firefighters who died in the line of duty—officials posted colors, played patriotic music and held a rose and bell ceremony while marking the start of National Fire Prevention Week, which runs through Saturday, October 11.  WOWO
