  • A forensic audit of the IEDC released on Oct 3 found questionable spending—raising transparency concerns about the group's management of funds. Officials will review the audit findings to decide on next steps.  21Alive
  • The City of Fort Wayne requested proposals for a new homeless services center to help residents in need of emergency housing. Officials will review submissions and select an operator in the coming weeks—ensuring the new center delivers essential support.  21Alive
  • The City of Fort Wayne is asking local nonprofits to submit proposals for a new homeless services center that will offer a shelter for unsheltered adults and a safe parking program—plans to meet urgent housing needs and integrate services.   • The Allen County Board of Commissioners finalized a new solar ordinance after a two-year amendment process that sets a 1,000-foot setback for commercial solar farms from roads and non-participating property lines — a rule confirmed despite a plan commission's recommendation for smaller distances.
