- ➤ Ivy Tech Fort Wayne announced today that the Student Life Center on North campus will close this week as part of a $66 million campus makeover. Renovations will begin in January with a groundbreaking later this year and the building is set to reopen as a student services hub in spring 2027 — in-person services have moved to Harshman Hall. - ➤ Fort Wayne’s proposed 2026 budget focuses on safety and infrastructure despite lower tax revenue. The city will use $8.8 million from reserves to address gaps caused by Senate Bill 1 and will invest in technology and community programs; City Council will review the plan on October 7. WOWO
- ➤ INDOT said that starting on or after September 29, crews closed the ramp from westbound U.S.-30/Goshen Road to southbound I-69 and the off-ramp from southbound I-69 for concrete patching and repaving work that will last two weeks, so drivers need to use alternate routes like the U.S.-27/Lima Road on-ramp or nearby exits.
