- ➤ On Monday afternoon, a man in a pickup truck died at the scene when his vehicle left the shoulder of East Ferguson Road and struck an SUV at the intersection with Muldoon roads, and a passenger in the SUV was seriously injured as authorities investigated the crash. WOWO

- ➤ Fort Wayne Community Schools plans to borrow $64.1 million to cover needs like new buses, roof replacements, and building renovations and will raise its debt service tax rate from 30.28 to 37.28 cents per $100 of assessed value. The district will hold a public hearing on Sept.22 at the Grile Administrative Center, and construction will begin in May to finish by October 2028—financed mainly through first mortgage and general obligation bonds.
