- ➤ The Fort Wayne Police are asking for help finding 12-year-old Zandria Foreman, who was last seen Friday morning at 5:45 wearing all red on the 2900 block of Schele Avenue — anyone with information is asked to call FWPD. 21Alive
- ➤ A 25-year-old man from Fort Wayne named Nicholas Steward was sentenced Friday to 117 years in prison for a June 2023 party shooting that killed 23-year-old Mattie Marie Wilson and injured three others — he was convicted of murder, attempted murder, criminal recklessness and using a gun to commit a crime. - ➤ A 30-year-old Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison with 5 years on probation after pleading guilty to drug trafficking—he was arrested in 2023 when undercover officers caught him selling about 6500 fentanyl pills and later found over 400 grams of fentanyl along with a handgun and rifle in his apartment. - ➤ A 31-year-old Fort Wayne man, Devonte Travier, was sentenced Friday to 95 years in prison after being found guilty of the 2023 murder of 39-year-old Diasha Fitts, who was fatally shot near Winchester Road and Airport Expressway after a night at Eagles Lodge—he was also ordered to pay $12,802.10 in restitution. 21Alive
- ➤ Fort Wayne police arrested 63 year old Raphael Helton in connection with the 2015 murder of Michael Feock, 67, whose body was found inside a home on the 200 block of W. Woodland Avenue—he is now held at Allen County Jail. US 93.3

- ➤ On August 15, Costco and FWCS staff teamed up to deliver supplies and backpacks to 380 students for the start of the school year in Fort Wayne—helping families get ready for classes. 21Alive
- ➤ Local election officials approved resolutions Friday needed for the November ballot measure as Northwest Allen County Schools seeks extra funds to pay for staffing and safety improvements — the district plans to request up to $10 million annually and will share more details at a 6 p.m. Monday board meeting at its Administration Center. - ➤ ACPL mailed over 50,000 books to young children in Allen County through its partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library since October 2024—serving 7,739 children and nearly 29 percent of eligible kids as of August.
