ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • On August 10, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a vacant two-story building on the 1600 block of Wells Street where renovations were underway+ flames were seen from the attic, and the fire was controlled by 7:40 a.m. with no injuries.  Around Fort Wayne

CRIME NEWS

  • Local detectives investigated a shooting over the weekend on the 9300 block of Morning Light Trail (east of Maysville Road) after officers responded just after 8:50 a.m. Saturday to a domestic battery report; two victims, a man and a woman, were found with gunshot wounds, and investigators from the Allen County Coroner’s Office (awaiting autopsy results and next-of-kin notification) are working the case.  The Journal Gazette
  • Indiana State Police Sergeant Kyle Miller was patrolling near County Road 200 East and County Road 1000 South in Lafontaine at 8:30 p.m. when he located 45-year-old David R. Odham of Wabash who ignored a traffic stop in his 1996 Ford Ranger and led to a pursuit that ended when Miller used the Precision Immobilization Technique to stop the vehicle before arresting him after a search found suspected marijuana.  21Alive
