At 7:11 a.m. on August 7, Fort Wayne police responded to a three-vehicle crash on I-69 southbound at mile marker 304.8 that involved a tanker truck, a silver Ford Expedition, and a red Ford F150 (one woman in the Expedition died and six others were taken to a nearby hospital), and investigators are still working into the crash.

On Friday, August 8, the Allen County Board of Commissioners met at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers Courtroom of Citizens Square downtown to discuss the Commercial Solar Ordinance—Ronald Turpin, Therese Brown, and Richard Beck attended the session.

The meeting took place as part of the county's Legislative Session.
