- ➤ The Fort Wayne Air Show is happening today at the 122nd Fighter Wing Air National Guard with a world-class array of aerobatic performers and static displays including the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds—making their first return since 2022. - ➤ Fort Wayne police are searching for a 39-year-old suspect—Jamarcus Williams—wanted on attempted murder and aggravated battery charges after a 3 a.m. shooting on Weisser Park Avenue left an adult male with life-threatening gunshot wounds. The Journal Gazette
- ➤ The Fort Wayne Police Department investigated a shooting that happened early Saturday morning when reports came in around 3 a.m. on Weisser Park Avenue—officers found a man with gunshot wounds who was taken to a hospital in life-threatening condition and no suspect or motive has been released. - ➤ Downtown Fort Wayne is hosting Chalk Walk and heART in the Park this weekend after Three Rivers Festival was canceled due to bankruptcy. Chalk Walk, celebrating 25 years with nearly 50,000 expected attendees on Main Street, and heART in the Park, featuring about 50 vendors and live music at Freimann Square Park and Arts United Center Plaza from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., are free events—bringing art and creativity to the community. 21Alive

- ➤ On Friday, the Thunderbirds flew over Fort Wayne while one traveler’s flight to Chicago was canceled during their practice hours, sparking concerns about commercial flight disruptions. Airport leaders said airlines are responsible for changes & urged travelers to arrive early on Saturday and Sunday to avoid heavy traffic around the airport. WANE 15
- ➤ Starting July 1, pet stores, commercial dog breeders, and animal shelters had to register with the Board of Animal Health and accept random inspections under the anti-puppy mill law. FWACC Director Amy-Jo Sites said the law may fine or shut down non-compliant establishments; however, no funds have been provided to enforce its rules, and it voided local ordinances limiting retail pet sales.
