  • The United States Air Force Thunderbirds will perform at Fort Wayne Air National Guard Base this weekend with six F-16 jets and other military teams, offering a free air show at 3005 W. Ferguson Road. The jets will display coordinated maneuvers — flying formations about 150 feet off the ground — designed to inspire local spectators.  The Journal Gazette

  • A shooting in downtown Fort Wayne at Promenade Park left one teen dead and three injured after an argument between two groups—18-year-old Ni’Shawn Jackson and 16-year-old Nazir Pittman are in custody facing charges such as attempted murder and murder as the investigation continues.  21Alive

  • Yesterday, the Hemphill Smith Art Foundation held a groundbreaking in downtown Fort Wayne for a planned 30-foot sculpture honoring the late artist Jody Hemphill Smith to be installed on West Jefferson Boulevard as a gateway to the West Central Neighborhood and downtown. The steel structure—designed by Cary Shafer and inspired by her painting 'Amaryllis'—is supported by $250,000 raised for the project.  21Alive

  • Today, the City of Fort Wayne launched its newly redesigned website that now features a virtual assistant chatbot + alert center and supports multiple languages, a public meeting calendar, and AudioEye accessibility technology.
