- ➤ A serious crash occurred Friday morning at East Pontiac and Reed Street when a pickup truck flipped against a home and a car suffered heavy damage, injuring a woman with life-threatening injuries and a man with non-life-threatening injuries—police said speed and alcohol contributed as the Fatal Accident Crash Team closed the intersection and the Red Cross helped displaced residents. - ➤ An SUV crashed into a unit of the Swinney Park Place Apartments early Friday when the driver lost control on W. Jefferson Blvd, hit a small tree and drove nearly completely into the building; no one was injured and investigators did not suspect alcohol played a role. WANE 15
