  • Culver’s will host a fundraiser on June 25 at multiple Fort Wayne locations & donate 20% of sales to benefit Honor Flight Northeast Indiana while local franchise owners express support for veterans who have served our community. The fundraiser aims to honor those who have given so much for our freedoms.  The Waynedale News
  • Tickets are on sale for the 37th Annual Weigand Construction Duck Race to benefit Iris Family Support Center until July 25 at 5 p.m. In this event, 15,000 ducks will be dropped into the St. Mary’s River at Promenade Park—winners of top prizes and a $100 bonus for the last duck out will be announced on location and online—supporting essential services for local families.  The Waynedale News

  • The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 2:31 p.m. on June 19th in the 700 block of West Rudisill Boulevard when multiple 911 calls reported an adult male was shot in a parking lot—officers are reviewing video footage and questioning witnesses.  Around Fort Wayne

CULTURE NEWS

  • Solfest will return tomorrow at Metea County Park with live music, artisan vendors and food trucks from noon to 10:30 p.m.—raising funds for park restoration, youth programs and conservation after severe tree loss at Fox Island.  The Waynedale News
  • ARCH will host its annual home and garden tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday along Forest Park Boulevard—featuring eight historic houses and two gardens—to raise funds for local arts. Tim and Susan Imler will showcase their 1915 home that they have restored over many years, with a tour guide explaining the history of each property.  The Journal Gazette
  • Waynedale United Methodist Church will host its second DOTS art show after the worship service on June 22 from 10:45 a.m. to noon in its large basement hall, with refreshments on opening day.
