  • On June 12, the Foellinger Foundation awarded nonprofits in Allen County $1,381,800 in grants to support community interests and capacity building. Thirty-eight organizations received community interest grants worth $1,303,500 and seven groups received capacity building funds of $78,300—helping local nonprofits serve children and families—as the foundation strengthens its community support.  Around Fort Wayne

  • At Home, a popular home goods retailer that opened its first Summit City store two years ago in Fort Wayne, filed for bankruptcy after its CEO blamed tariff increases and low consumer spending. The bankruptcy deal with its lenders will remove nearly all of its $2 billion in debt + provide $200 million to help keep the company operating, though some locations may close.  21Alive

  • Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and 55 other AGs secured a $7.4B settlement with the Sackler family — Purdue Pharma to hold them accountable for the opioid crisis.
