- ➤ On May 14, Allen County Council approved a $5.3 million appropriation from the general fund for Fort Wayne International Airport Authority projects, which include an expansion to add 500 parking spaces, lighting and road improvements, and the purchase of snow removal equipment to cover a shortfall. - ➤ City council approved a new opioid settlement committee to help decide how to spend the city’s $7 million from the opioid settlement, with four members picked by the mayor and three picked by council—this change gives the council a larger role as funds are paid each year until 2038.
