- ➤ One Fort Wayne street hosts the annual Memorial Day Parade as the Allen County Council of Veteran Organizations honors U.S. service members tomorrow. The parade starts at 11 a.m. at Parnell Avenue & State Boulevard, ending at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum with guest speakers and wreaths. WOWO
- ➤ A ceremony was held Saturday at Veterans National Memorial Shrine and Museum where community leaders and members dedicated a new 8-foot Peace Pole at Veterans Memorial Park with the inscription 'May Peace Prevail on Earth' in several languages including English, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean. - ➤ Harvard and Stanford researchers released a report last week ranking Indiana sixth among 35 states for reading gains made from 2022 to 2025, noting that science of reading reforms helped Hoosier students improve while education leaders plan to boost early literacy support. WFFT-TV
