  • The Fort Wayne Cherry Blossom Festival will take place on Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. at the Walb Student Union where visitors can try on a kimono, sample Japanese food, and watch traditional music and martial arts demonstrations — vendors will also sell souvenirs from Japan.  WOWO

  • WBOI will host Vines and Voices: A Toast to WBOI at Ceruti’s Diamond Room on June 12, where guests can enjoy local wines, elevated food options and silent auctions while supporting the station amid recent $60k budget cuts. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Fort Wayne’s Public Works Division approved a $5.2 million neighborhood resurfacing plan for 2025 after final approval from the Board of Public Works and City Council—this project is part of a $41.4 million infrastructure effort to improve streets across four city quadrants.  US 93.3
  • Construction season is underway in Fort Wayne with more road projects planned, and Petroviak has urged drivers to be cautious in busy work zones—drivers should expect heavy equipment and lane closures.  WFFT-TV
  • The Allen County Council approved $980,000 to upgrade Allen Superior Court by buying new monitors, speakers, and microphones for ten courtrooms. The upgrades—designed to improve virtual hearings and in-court sound—will be installed soon.  US 93.3
