- ➤ Former Cookin’ Men events are rebranded as Cookin’ Fort Wayne—an upcoming fundraiser by the Do It Best Foundation that benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Indiana. - ➤ An Indiana University professor and former Fort Wayne mayor said they are upset about plans to change the board of trustees by shifting three alumni-elected seats to governor appointments—an update that has also prompted concern among IU alumni. - ➤ Mayor Sharon Tucker and city officials announced on April 30th a $95.5 million plan to upgrade stormwater, water, and sewer systems in many Fort Wayne neighborhoods. The improvements will begin in Sunny Meadows with drainage work and water main installations on North Anthony Boulevard, Stellhorn Road, and other areas — supporting reliable services and future growth.
