  • Fort Wayne based Vera Bradley announced it will pause its annual outlet sale this spring as it restructures its wholesale business under new CEO Ian Bickley — the event is set to resume in 2027.  WOWO
  • Herbruck’s Poultry held a ribbon-cutting for its new egg processing plant (75,000 sqft) in Kendallville on Thursday, marking a $20M investment. The facility will begin processing eggs later this month, create 60 jobs, and distribute 420 million eggs annually.  US 93.3

  • Butler Elementary School (1025 S. Broadway, Butler) will hold kindergarten registration for incoming students soon and invites local families to complete required enrollment forms.  KPC News
  • Riverdale Elementary School (6127 S.R. 1, St. Joe) will hold kindergarten registration soon as it prepares to welcome new students. Local families are encouraged to contact the school for more details.  KPC News
  • Governor Mike Braun called on Indiana schools on March 12 to support student groups that promote free speech by allowing Turning Point USA chapters to host debates and civic events on campuses. The proclamation aims to ensure all students have a space to express their views.  WOWO

  • Longtime civil rights advocate Larry Lee donated a $2 million endowment to the ACLU today to honor local leaders Len and Ruth Goldstein and Ian and Mimi Rolland, enhancing support for court cases and community education in Fort Wayne — aiming to bolster civil rights for the future.  The Journal Gazette
  • The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said Ouabache State Park’s entrance road will be closed from County Road 100 South to the Civilian Conservation Corps worker statue from Monday, Mar. 16 until April 10 for culvert work.
