  • Allen County Public Library released five themed memory kits for those with memory loss on Sunday. Patrons with a valid library card can check them out for a three-week lending period at any branch - kits include themes on dogs, babies, Route 66, the 1960s, and handyman projects.  The Journal Gazette
  • Lutheran Health Network is launching its fourth annual Jars of Love Peanut Butter Drive from March 2nd through March 30th to collect 7,000 jars for six local food banks, with donation bins available at hospitals, the YMCA, OPS, Purdue Fort Wayne, the Komets & Elevatus Architecture.  US 93.3

  • Tickets went on sale yesterday for the Business Weekly Forty Under 40 event, which honors 40 outstanding young professionals from Northeast Indiana.   • Science Central will officially open the region’s only public planetarium on March 25 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at its Fort Wayne facility, featuring a news conference, a ribbon cutting ceremony plus a brief tour.  KPC News

  • NIPSCO is offering relief for customers facing high winter gas bills by pausing disconnections, waiving late and reconnection fees, and reducing deposit amounts through the end of March + customers can visit its website for financial support.  WFFT-TV

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Coverdale Development LLC has applied to rezone 170 acres from agricultural to residential in southwest Allen County, and a meeting was held on Sunday at Southwest Fire District Station 3. A public hearing on the proposal is scheduled for March 12 at 1:30 p.m.  US 93.3

HEALTH NEWS

  • Lutheran Health Network has kicked off its fourth annual Jars of Love peanut butter drive starting today, accepting donations at hospitals, local YMCA and partners until March 30 to fight hunger — a public hearing on a proposed housing development for 689 residential lots is set for next week.  WFFT-TV
