- ➤ Fort Wayne's tap water earned an international gold medal when City Utilities won the municipal category at the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Competition, an event that drew entries from over five continents. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Allen County Public Library officials said today they made significant progress on their 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, expanding literacy initiatives, technology access and community partnerships across branches including StoryScape in Monroeville. The plan has partnered with local schools to issue library cards for over 8,000 students. The Journal Gazette
- ➤ Arlington STEM Elementary saw enrollment increase 17% with 512 students after adopting a new STEM focus, school leaders reported. The school expects over 550 students next year + growth to more than 600 in a few years following successful principal-led tours. The Journal Gazette

- ➤ Field Operations began installing water services Monday at 8:00 a.m. along Barr Street between E Washington Boulevard and Wayne Street, and the work will continue through the week. US 93.3
- ➤ Fort Wayne renamed a section of Leesburg Road as St. Francis Drive to honor the University of St. Francis following Plan Commission approval on Dec. 15. - ➤ Meijer has recalled over 200,000 one-piece footed sleepwear items for children due to a burn risk, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said.
