  • On Friday, Feb. 13, free marriage ceremonies brought 14 couples together after they purchased licenses at the Allen County Courthouse — City Clerk John McGauley officiated the event, and his office is planning additional dates to handle the high demand.  WOWO

CULTURE NEWS

  • Nearly 2,000 students fill Homestead High School today for the nation’s largest show choir competition — featuring over 40 group acts and a solo/small ensemble contest with finals starting at 7 p.m., while tickets cost $15 for prelims, $12 for finals, or $20 for both.  21Alive
  • Cinema Center marks 50 years with an Oscar Gala on March 14 at 437 East Berry Street at 6 p.m. (featuring a red carpet arrival, themed attire, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and raffles) while launching its Celebrate 50 campaign to raise $100,000 for facility improvements.  The Waynedale News

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Fort Wayne Airport ended 2025 with record passenger numbers, registering 983,042 travelers & nearly half a million enplanements. The airport will add more flights, parking spaces and complete terminal upgrades this spring and early summer to support growing travel demand.  The Waynedale News

  • The Literacy Alliance announced a free Entrepreneurship Certification Program that will run from April 17 through June 26 with classes every Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 at its 1005 W. Rudisill Blvd location in Fort Wayne, and space is limited so applicants should apply early.  The Waynedale News
