  • The Judith A. Morrill Recreation Center is hosting the Winter Warm Up Indoor Golf Scramble to raise funds for community programs. It will take place Friday, March 13 at Suite Spot Golf (3710 Hobson Road).  KPC News

  • Acres Away Winery in Ashley won three medals at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition for its sparkling wine, aromatic white blend, and Norton dry red. Owner Shane Christ said the awards recognize quality winemaking in northeast Indiana.  WFFT-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • ACPL celebrates Black History Month this February by hosting free programs at several Allen County locations. Events include breakfast gatherings, art workshops, and cooking classes for all ages (some require registration) to explore Black history and culture.  US 93.3

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Fort Wayne Int’l Airport processed a record number of travelers in 2025 — a milestone that highlights growing air traffic and expanding service options in our region.  21Alive
  • Fort Wayne International Airport reported record activity in 2025 with 494,014 outbound passengers (14.7% increase) as airlines added new routes. Officials expect service growth to continue as local travelers embrace expanded air options.  The Journal Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • All five FWCS high schools are in their second Indiana FIRST Robotics Competition season, involving 100 students in designing robots and building teamwork skills. Schools received funds from a $41,000 Don Wood donation, and teams will compete in regional contests this month while the state event is scheduled for April.  The Journal Gazette

  • A long-term lane restriction will begin on Bluffton Road on Wednesday as crews work on road improvements - drivers should plan extra travel time during the changes.  21Alive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Brightpoint received a grant on Feb. 9 to help uninsured families get health insurance in Fort Wayne. The organization will use the funds to boost enrollment support in the community.  21Alive

  • Final rosters for the 2026 World Baseball Classic have been announced, featuring 19 former TinCaps including David Bednar with Team USA and Josh Mallitz boosting local pride. The tournament begins March 4 with games in Japan, Puerto Rico, Houston + Miami.  WOWO
