  • Local organizations expanded shelter hours yesterday as The Salvation Army opened a 24-hour shelter and joined The Rescue Mission, Just Neighbors, and St. Joseph’s Mission to provide extra beds and daytime support for families during the extreme cold.  WOWO
  • Madison and Spencer Fear welcomed their baby boy Blaise at 3:49 p.m. on Jan. 19 at a Fort Wayne hospital. The couple celebrated his birth around Indiana University's CFP national championship win, watching the game as a new family once the baby was checked and in their arms.  21Alive
  • Fort Wayne’s Winter Contingency Plan is active to offer overnight shelter from Dec. 1 to March 31 at the Rescue Mission, St. Joseph Mission Women’s Shelter, Just Neighbors (additional capacity via The Salvation Army) and multiple warming centers.
