  • This weekend, Fort Wayne will host the Midwest Motorcycle and Power Sports Expo and the Midwest Recreation Expo, combining lake life, camping, trail riding, and motor culture into one event with hundreds of vintage vehicles and a BMX stunt show at 5 p.m. Saturday (further motorcycle stunts are scheduled Sunday).  WFFT-TV

  • IU Health officials announced the expansion of the Congregational Care Network to Allen and Lake counties to support patients recovering from hospital stays. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Two northeast Indiana schools (East Allen University and Bluffton High) have maintained 100% graduation rates for three consecutive years, a rare feat seen in only 3% of schools statewide.   • The City of Fort Wayne invites neighborhood leaders to workshops for its improvement grant program, with sessions on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at the Dupont branch, Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Hessen Cassel and Main Library branches, and Thursday, Jan. 22 at the Georgetown branch; applications open Jan. 20.  21Alive

HEALTH NEWS

  • Respiratory illnesses such as the flu, COVID-19 and RSV are on the rise, prompting Parkview Health to restrict visitors to protect vulnerable patients (visitors must be 12 or older and limited to two per patient).
